FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT IF I HAVE SOME QUESTIONS BEFORE I MAKE A BOOKING?
Please get in touch by email, phone or text. I will respond promptly to your enquiry and arrange a convenient time to talk. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.
HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
The minimum number of sessions is between 6 and 12, however, you may need more or less depending on what has brought you to counselling. We will review our work together regularly and agree the way forward for your therapeutic journey.
HOW OFTEN ARE THE SESSIONS?
It is recommended that you attend weekly and on the same day and time to provide continuity. I appreciate that for some people, especially those who work shift patterns, that this may not be possible and so we will agree a schedule that works best for you.
HOW MUCH WILL THE SESSIONS COST?
The fee is £45 per hour. I offer a reduced rate for students. A counselling hour is 50 minutes. Payment is by BACs or cash on the day. The initial session needs to be paid for 24 hours in advance by BACs transfer. Alternative payment arrangements can be made for this session if required.
WHEN ARE SESSIONS AVAILABLE?
Daytime and evening sessions are available Monday to Thursday . I have flexibility with timings to cater for changes in circumstances.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM UNABLE TO MAKE A SESSION?
Please contact me and we will reschedule when it is convenient. The fee for cancelling a session is £15.
WHERE IS THE PRACTICE?
My practice is based in the newly renovated West Street Counselling Centre in Fareham. It is situated in the retail and business area of Fareham and is next to Papa John's Pizza. It is a short walk from the Bus Station and is about a 5 minute walk from the Railway Station. There is free parking for 2 hours available on Western Way and public car parks nearby.
